The Christmas carnival highlights the Nativity story and was performed by the Sunday Club.
It was held on Sunday 17th December 2017 during the Parish Eucharist. The children and adults in the play wore beautiful costumes which reflected the parts that they played. The Star of Bethlehem’s costume was lit up by tiny light bulbs which shone as brightly as a star in the night sky.
The popular and well-loved songs and carols included “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night”.
The players were enthusiastic and clearly enjoyed bringing the story to life. This enjoyment was shared by the congregation.
Our thanks go to the Sunday Club and to all who played a role in making the Christmas carnival such a happy and enjoyable event.
