St Martin’s magazine has been around for many years. In the past Geoff Cook was in charge of a team of people who used to meet in the Institute to ‘cut and paste’ the magazine using scissors and glue, it used to be quite a social occasion! These days the magazine is completely computerised. The program that is used is called Publisher and is set out in a format which makes it as easy as possible to put the magazine together every month. Once completed it is put in a PDF format and printed in-house. The ‘Diocesan News’ insert is picked up directly from the Diocesan Office in Leeds.
The magazine was ‘rebranded’ in Rev. Jim Sillar’s time at St Martin’s, and was renamed ‘Reach Out’.
The printers publish about 220 copies of the magazine, and there are a team of people who deliver the magazine to people who can’t attend church.
