This was on Wednesday 3rd July at the Institute. The design was a basic oval spray which could be used as a table centrepiece arrangement, as a gift for special occasions such as birthdays or even as a funeral tribute. A larger arrangement (much larger!) with bigger flowers and foliage could be used as a coffin spray.
Our smaller arrangement used flowers and foliage suited to its size. Lemon carnations, lilac everlasting flowers and lacy green lady’s mantle flowers made for a pretty colour combination. Rust red hypericum berries provided a pleasant contrast while green ivy and green and white pittosporum foliage helped to give an outline and filled in the display.
A big thank you goes to members of the flower team for their continual support.
Refreshments provided a filling and fitting end to the occasion.
